Casper Faassen, with the exhibition Dance me to the end of love, proposes a reflection on movement and transience through the theme of dance. Collaborating with the dancer Madoka Kariya, Faassen explores the relationship between the body in movement and space, inspired by the Japanese philosophy of “Ma”, the intermediate space that connects rather than separates.
His photographic works, characterized by the use of craquelure, symbolize the passage of time, creating a visual game between sharpness and blur, between presence and absence. The artist invites the viewer to confront the fragility and ephemeral beauty of the body, which appears and disappears like a breath in the dance of time.
