Antoine D’Agata at Nobel Peace Center

«Theorem» by Antoine D’Agata – exhibited in War is Peace?

Theorem is a time capsule focused on today’s global conflicts. The work is not only a photographic documentation of violence, but an attempt to make us rethink how we understand wars and crises and question the ideas and narratives we have been presented with.

Photographer Antoine D’Agata challenges the ways political, military, and cultural forces influence our perception of conflict. His images confront the harsh realities people face and seek to reveal the hidden structures that shape suffering, resistance, and survival in vulnerable communities.

Theorem can be seen as a contemporary parallel to artists such as Francisco Goya and Ernst Friedrich, who also exposed the darker realities of their time.
